Brian Harty
Brian leads the team at Centrepoint Church and, together with his wife Jill
and three boys, has been involved in the church since it first started as
just a small group of six people.
He has worked in a variety of careers ranging from the Merchant Navy to making microchips, and from social care with a number of charities to now leading a church.
Brian has a passion to see Centrepoint grow to become a significant church in Guildford and to truly see Christ at the centre.
Phil Sack
Phil is an elder in the church, with responsibility for overseeing the
children’s work and the worship. He and his wife Sarah moved to Guildford
from London in 2004 to help establish the new church. Phil has been involved
in leadership within Newfrontiers churches since the late 1980s, and greatly
appreciates the emphasis within Newfrontiers on enjoying the grace of God,
following the Bible and being open to the Holy Spirit.
Phil and Sarah have three young children who manage to keep them very busy. Phil works from home as an HR consultant to multinational companies.
Their passion is to see a large church in the centre of Guildford that impacts many people’s lives in the town and the region around, with the grace, love and power of God.
Alan Sussex
Alan is an Elder and Chairman of the Trustees and has been part of Centrepoint
Church from its beginning. Alan is married to Beryl and they were formerly
members of The Coign Church, Woking before helping to establish Centrepoint
Church. They have three adult children and nine grand children.
Alan is a retired Chartered Engineer who has worked in aircraft design, lecturing and in the gas industry where he was an assistant director. Alan is delighted to be spending time building Centrepoint Church within the Newfrontiers family of churches by encouraging the next generation of leaders and by sharing in preaching and teaching ministry.
